The invisible world is a central narrative to McNeill-Pulati’s artwork. Superstitions, ideologies and religions are based on unseen phenomena that have driven and required creative responses. The rules of these systems have been influenced by the need to survive.

In contrast, the visible world provides its own evidence to its value and purpose but interpretations feed on opinion and outcomes. McNeill-Pulati’s work includes notions of self, based on social constructs. What is inside of ourselves, our fears, desires, phobias and strengths. Her imagery is influenced by iconography and symbols found in modern and ancient cultures.
